Australian IT services provider ASI Solutions has acquired cybersecurity specialist Insicon Cyber, expanding its managed security, advisory and compliance capabilities across Australia and New Zealand.
The acquisition adds Insicon Cyber’s Australian-based security operations centre (SOC) and specialist cybersecurity services to ASI Solutions’ existing portfolio, strengthening its offering to customers across the education, government and commercial sectors.
Founded in 2013 and headquartered in North Sydney, Insicon Cyber operates a 24/7 SOC providing managed threat detection and response, security monitoring and managed security information and event management (SIEM) services.
The company also provides board and executive cybersecurity advisory, chief information security officer (CISO) as a service, AI governance advice and compliance support across standards including ISO 27001, ISO 9001 and ISO 42001.
Insicon Cyber’s SOC is ISO 27001 certified, and the company holds Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) Network Partner status.
ASI Solutions managing director Nathan Lowe said the acquisition would allow the company to integrate specialist cybersecurity services into its existing customer relationships.
“Many organisations already trust a technology partner to keep their critical systems running, and security belongs in that relationship,” Lowe said.
“Insicon Cyber gives us an Australian-owned specialist team and a SOC to bring to the organisations we support.”
Insicon Cyber to retain its brand and leadership
Under the agreement, Insicon Cyber will continue operating under its existing brand as an ASI Solutions company.
Co-founders Matt Miller and Greg Bunt will remain in their respective roles as chief executive officer and chief information security officer.
Miller said joining ASI Solutions would allow Insicon Cyber to extend its services to more organisations while maintaining its Australian ownership.
“Few Australian-owned security specialists bring board advice, a localised SOC and compliance together under one roof,” Miller said.
“Joining ASI keeps that capability in Australian hands and gives us the reach to help far more organisations across Australia and New Zealand, under the Insicon Cyber name we have built.”
The acquisition follows Insicon Cyber’s expansion into managed security services and the New Zealand market in 2025.
It also forms part of ASI Solutions’ broader growth strategy, following its acquisition of JTC Technology in March 2026 to strengthen its education technology capabilities.
ASI Solutions reported revenue of $246 million for the 2025 financial year, representing 25 per cent year-on-year growth.
Financial terms of the Insicon Cyber acquisition were not disclosed.
The deal strengthens ASI Solutions’ position in the Australian and New Zealand cybersecurity services market as organisations seek greater support managing cyber threats, regulatory compliance and security operations.
